I have produced these videos for fun and am well aware that my own skills as an actor / narrator are less than professional, in fact extremely amateur. In the first one 'Coaching' I have tried to convey that learning to handle a motor cruiser is fun and should be done slowly and methodically. In the second, 'Man Overboard' I have tried to show how to use the 'Williamson Turn' when doing man overboard with a motor cruiser.
The next are about coiling a rope and two of the knots that clients are required to be able to do in the RYA Sail Cruising Competent Crew course and the RYA Motor Cruising Helmsman's course. I have given them the label 'RYA Day Skipper Courses' because I find that most people when the arrive to do a Day Skipper course sail or motor have forgotten how to coil a rope and some of these knots, when I have time I will add to these videos and hope that they will be helpful.
To save space on this page after the first 5 videos I have not put a picture but just a link to that video on YouTube, just click on the link and it will take you straight to the video.
